Mattie Robinson

Mattie Robinson

Mattie Robinson was born in Jonestown, Mississippi. She has two sisters and three brothers. She graduated from Aggie High School and attended Coahoma Junior College. Mattie and her husband came to Seattle in 1961 and she began working at Metro in May of 1977.

Mattie has raised three beautiful daughters, Pamela, Towanna and Mary Jane. She enjoys spending time with family, including many nieces and nephews. Known around the bases as an outstanding cook, Mattie would like to someday open her own restaurant. Her many interests include dancing, traveling, "jazzercising", listening to music and watching movies. Mattie helps with many fundraising efforts and she loves helping people in need. Her friends and family consider her a superwoman with a "heart of gold".

With Metro, Mattie has received 26 commendations. She is a long standing member of the Base Activities Committee as well as helping on several other committees. She has participated in new bus demonstrations and tested the Breda buses when they first came onto the property. Mattie has helped with many job and safety fairs and participated in numerous bake sales. Every shake-up she assists with the posting of new schedules in the bus zones throughout the county.

Raymond Sullivan

Raymond Sullivan

Raymond Sullivan was born in Montana and moved to Seattle as a youngster. He attended St. Benedict's School and later graduated from O'Dea High School. He spent a few years in the Army before returning to civilian life where he worked as a salesman and delivery person. He began work at Metro in April of 1974.

Ray is a devoted family man who has been married to his lovely wife, Jeanette, for 33 years. He is the father of 6 grown children and 9 grandchildren. An avid lover of baseball, Ray has been an umpire for Little League as well as Major League teams for the past 27 years. He and his wife also enjoy traveling.

At Metro, Ray has earned 17-years of safe driving and has received 17 commendations. He is known for providing professional, quality service to his customers and extending compassion to those he encounters. Ray has been an integral part of Safety committees and has recently given his time and effort to the Work Family Task Force.
