The 1981 Operator of the Year is Claude D. Colvin

Claude became an operator October 24, 1945 after being honorable discharged from the Coast Guard. Since becoming an operator he has earned a 34-year safe driving award. He has earned numerous commendations during his career. His passengers by their commendations, and his peers by this selection, appreciate the excellent job he is doing. All of us at Metro appreciate his outstanding performance.

For those of you you don't know Claude, I quote a description form one of the commendations in his file: "I don't know his name or his number, but he reminds me of Spencer Tracy."
