A new transit service network is coming to Bellevue, Redmond, Clyde Hill, Medina, and South KirklandThis October, Metro will launch the RapidRide B Line between Bellevue and Redmond. This new bus line will provide frequent, fast, and reliable service throughout the day via Crossroads and Overlake (learn more). At the same time, Metro will adjust its other bus service around the B Line corridor to improve connections with the B Line and other Metro and Sound Transit routes. The changes will also improve connections with major shopping and employment centers and schools. Some routes will be discontinued so Metro can use scarce resources more effectively, but riders of routes that are discontinued will have other transit options available. The Metropolitan King County Council approved the changes on May 31, 2011 (the meeting agenda, minutes, and video are available on the Council's website). About RapidRide |
