Mt. Rainier

This is the postcard times two.
The first cel is pearlboned, painted
in the pocket watch—visible by noon.
The second cel is the scepter’s head.
Treelined veins painted
porcelain blade by blade.
Close one eye and they separate.
Close two eyes and they continue to separate until
the globe dimension.
