Calm as chamomile,
and hidden on a wall of sunbleached shells
click
as she continues
floating in the green
past soft dark sand dollars
to the lagoon's farthest edge
where roots have grown taller over the years
Herons rush
past cedars, as secret as
film behind the lens.
Reaching branches,
she swims to the middle of the water
borrowed for a day from the sea.
