Ochoco Theatre/ 1957
Saturday afternoon was always showday.
35 to see Eisenhower waving in newsreels
then came the silly cartoons.
Smiling in CINEMASCOPE, you held my hand
as John Wayne won again.
Once, in the back where it was darker,
we shared a pack of FLICKS and you kissed me quick
like a visiting Aunt at a train station turnstile.
L.E. Cornelison. I live one mile from Snoqualmie Falls and have been widely published. I ride bus 213 to Seattle.
