Mom and Pop
Spitting cherry seeds into the wind,
breezing along the highway, heads back
laughing the day before their wedding, chins
dripping blood-red juice,
staining each other's mouths the color of love,
kissing their way into the future,
waiting for me to come,
waiting for me to be born.
