Husky Football Game
Thursday, November 18, 2010
Kick-off 5:00 p.m.
The University of Washington Huskies host UCLA this Thursday, Nov. 18, in a rare weeknight football game. Kickoff is at 5 p.m. and traffic is expected to be significantly congested in and around the University District and Montlake.
There will also be reroutes for many of the King County Metro Transit bus routes that serve that area starting at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. Check rider alerts for reroutes near Husky Stadium. Bus riders should expect traffic-related delays Thursday afternoon and evening that could spread beyond the U District.
Metro will operate a temporary shuttle on Thursday from 2:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. that will loop through the UW campus to help students and staff connect to regular Metro service on 15th Avenue Northeast.
Also, Metro will not be able to supply special bus service to the game like it does on weekends, because buses will be busy with regular and commute service. Still, fans are encouraged to use regular public transportation or the charter service being scheduled by the Huskies to get to and from the game.
