Federal Way Changes

In the Federal Way area, changes have been made to provide better travel connections between northeast Tacoma and Federal Way, as well as downtown Seattle and Sea-Tac Airport. More buses now serve the Twin Lakes park-and-ride lot, and a new route has been added to provide service along SW 356th St. Several routes have changed, and some have been discontinued. Other bus routes have replaced discontinued routes.

All trips now start and end at the Federal Way TC. For service to the S. Federal Way P&R lot, use new Route 182 or Pierce Transit Route 500.

Operates in a clockwise loop in the Mirror Lake area during the morning and evening.

Discontinued. For service between downtown Seattle and the Federal Way TC, use Route 177. For service between the Twin Lakes area and the Federal Way TC, use Route 187.

New route operates 30 to 60-minute daily service from 5 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. weekdays, and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. week-ends between the Federal Way TC and northeast Tacoma via SW 356th St., 29th St. NE and 49th Ave. NE. This route replaces Route 194 service along S. 336th St. and 9th Ave. S.

Operates revised routing on 28th Ave.S. between Camelot and the Federal Way TC. Will no longer serve Military Rd. between 31st Ave. S. and S. 320th St. For alternative service along S. 320th St., use Route 181.

No longer serves the S. Federal Way P&R. Federal Way trips will begin and end at the Federal Way TC. For service between the Federal Way TC and the S. Federal Way P&R before 7 p.m., use new Route 182. For service after 7 p.m., use Pierce Transit Route 500. Weekday peak-hour service improved to 15-minute service between downtown Seattle and Federal Way. Added evening trips Monday-Saturday.

The 7:21 a.m. trip leaving the S.Federal Way P&R and the trip leavingthe Metro Bus Tunnel at 5:20 p.m. have been discontinued.
