New Transit Now Route 248

Route 248 is a new all-day route providing daily service between Redmond's Avondale neighborhood and Kirkland TC via Redmond Town Center, the new Redmond TC and NE 85th St. Route 248 replaces portions of ST Route 540 between the Redmond and Kirkland transit centers.

On weekdays, Route 248 operates every 30 minutes from 5:30 am to 9:52 pm with one last trip at 10:52 pm. On Saturday, Route 248 operates every 30 minutes from 6:20 am to 9:50 pm with the last trip at 10:50 pm. On Sunday, Route 248 operates every 60 minutes from 7:09 am to 9:06 am and every 30 minutes from 9:06 am to 6:50 pm. From 6:50 pm to 10:50 pm, Route 248 operates every 60 minutes.

At Redmond TC, westbound Route 248 trips to Kirkland TC serve Bay 4, and eastbound trips to Avondale serve Bay 2. At Kirkland TC, eastbound trips to Avondale serve Bay 2.

Metro's Transit Now funding targets peak-hour overcrowding and the need for improved service frequency during weekday midday hours and on weekends. Metro will expand transit service by 20 percent over 10 years. For more information, visit our Transit Now Web site.
