Schedule & Route Revisions Effective Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012

Below is a numerical listing of affected routes throughout Metro's service area. Visit Metro Online or pick up a new red timetable for complete route and schedule information.

Metro is making some scheduling changes to reduce costs, preserve bus service and operate more efficiently. You may notice differences in the schedule for your route or trip.

Route 149 (becomes DART Route 907)

Route 149 will change to a Dial-a-Ride-Transit (DART) service and be renumbered Route 907. New Route 907 will operate the same routing as the former Route 149 and serve three new DART areas in Enumclaw, Black Diamond and Renton.

The northbound Route 149 trip to Renton leaving Baker St & 3rd Ave at 6:31 p.m. will be converted to a Route 143 trip.

In Enumclaw, the Route 907 DART area includes St Elizabeth Hospital, downtown Enumclaw and other commercial areas, Enumclaw High School, Enumclaw Aquatic Center and adjacent neighborhoods.

In Black Diamond, Route 907 will serve the area bordered by Roberts Drive, 3rd Ave (SR-169) and Morgan and Baker streets.

In Renton, it will serve downtown Renton and Rainier Ave S, SW Grady Way, SW 7th St and Hardie Ave SW.

On weekdays, northbound Route 907 trips to Renton leave Semanski St S & McDougall Ave at 7:31, 8:01, 9:16 and 10:46 a.m., and 12:16, 1:46, 3:16 and 4:33 p.m. Southbound trips to Enumclaw leave the Renton Transit Center at 6:26, 9:24 and 10:54 a.m., and 12:24, 1:54 and 3:24 p.m. The former northbound Route 149 trip to Renton leaving Semanski St S & McDougall Ave at 7:31 p.m. will be deleted.

Route 186 (becomes DART Route 915)

On weekdays (midday service only) and Saturday, Route 186 will change to DART service and be renumbered DART Route 915. Route 186 weekday peak-period service will not change.

New Route 915 will operate the same routing as Route 186 between Griffin Ave & Wells St in Enumclaw and the Auburn Station, and serve three new DART areas in Auburn and Enumclaw.

In Auburn, Route 915 will serve two areas: downtown Auburn north of 1st St SW/SE including the Auburn Regional Medical Center, and east of Auburn Way S including the Auburn Senior Center on 9th St SE.

In Enumclaw, Route 915 will serve downtown Enumclaw north of Griffin Ave including St Elizabeth Hospital, the area east of Cole St and the neighborhood south of Roosevelt Ave (Hwy 410) along Watson St N and Dickerson Ave including Safeway.

On weekdays, southbound Route 915 trips leave Auburn Station at 9:13, and 10:43 a.m., and 12:13, 1:43 and 3:12 p.m. Northbound trips to Auburn leave Wells St & Griffin Ave at 9:57 and 11:27 a.m., and 12:58, 2:28 and 3:58 p.m.

On Saturday, southbound Route 915 trips leave Auburn Station at 9:50 and 11:20 a.m., and 12:50, 2:20, 3:50 and 5:20 p.m. Northbound trips to Auburn leave Wells St & Griffin Ave at 10:39 a.m., and 12:09, 1:39, 3:09, 4:39 and 6:09 p.m.

Route 221

Route 221 will be revised to operate both directions via West Lake Sammamish Pkwy NE, Leary Way NE, Bear Creek Pkwy and 161st Ave NE. It will no longer operate on Redmond Way between 161st Ave NE and West Lake Sammamish Way NE and on West Lake Sammamish Way NE between Redmond Way and NE Old Redmond Rd.

Route 224

The westbound Route 224 trips to the Redmond TC leaving Fall City at 5:55, 7:03 and 9:58 a.m., and 1:03, 306, 5:23 and 6:30 p.m. will be revised to leave at 5:43, 7:19 and 10:01 a.m., and 12:37, 3:18, 5:14 and 6:32 p.m. Also, the eastbound trips to Fall City leaving the Redmond TC at 8:46 and 11:51 a.m., and 1:43, 3:44, 4:57 and 6:26 p.m. will be revised to leave at 8:40 and 11:20 a.m., and 1:53, 3:52, 4:56 and 6:39 p.m.

Route 240

Six northbound trips to Bellevue leaving the Renton TC at 7:22 and 7:53 a.m., and 1:28, 1:56, 2:25 and 3:10 p.m. will be added. Six southbound trips to Renton leaving the Bellevue TC at 8:50 and 9:20 a.m., and 2:50, 3:20, 3:50 and 4:20 p.m. will also be added. The northbound trip to Bellevue leaving the Renton TC at 3 p.m. will be revised to leave 5 minutes earlier at 2:55 p.m.

Route 240 service frequency will improve from 30 minutes to 15 minutes during portions of each peak period.

Route 251 (becomes DART Route 931)

Route 251 will change to a DART service in the North Creek and downtown Bothell areas and be renumbered Route 931.

New Route 931 will operate the same routing as the former Route 251 except it will operate both directions on NE 195th St between 120th Ave NE and North Creek Pkwy. It will no longer operate on 120th Ave NE, North Creek Pkwy N and North Creek Pkwy.

Route 931 will also serve a new DART area between North Creek Pkwy N and Woodinville Dr/SR-522 that includes downtown Bothell and the UW Bothell/Cascadia CC campus.

Route 931 will have the same service frequency as the former Route 251.

Route 907 (formerly Route 149)

Route 910 DART

Route 910 will serve Walmart and a new Dial-A-Ride-Transit (DART) area northeast of the SuperMall.

Route 915 (formerly Route 186)

On weekdays (midday service only) and Saturday, Route 186 will change to DART service and be renumbered DART Route 915. Route 186 weekday peak-period service will not change.

New Route 915 will operate the same routing as Route 186 between Griffin Ave & Wells St in Enumclaw and the Auburn Station, and serve three new DART areas in Auburn and Enumclaw.

Route 917 DART

The southbound trip to the White River Junction leaving Auburn Station at 4:13 p.m. will be revised to leave four minutes earlier at 4:09 p.m. The northbound trip to Auburn Station arriving at 4:12 p.m. will be revised to arrive three minutes earlier at 4:09 p.m. There are no other schedule changes for this route.

Route 931 (formerly Route 251)

Route 251 will change to a DART service in the North Creek and downtown Bothell areas and be renumbered Route 931.

New Route 931 will operate the same routing as the former Route 251 except it will operate both directions on NE 195th St between 120th Ave NE and North Creek Pkwy. It will no longer operate on 120th Ave NE, North Creek Pkwy N and North Creek Pkwy.

Route 931 will also serve a new DART area between North Creek Pkwy N and Woodinville Dr/SR-522 that includes downtown Bothell and the UW Bothell/Cascadia CC campus.

Route 931 will have the same service frequency as the former Route 251.
