Emergency Service Network

During a severe storm, Metro may launch a new emergency service network

If an extremely severe snowstorm lasts for several days, Metro may activate its new Emergency Service Plan.

The emergency service network will continue to provide bus service on major roads and  connecting service in some neighborhoods. Some areas will have no bus service because of their location or topography.

Are you ready?

  • Know your Emergency Service Network route

This plan replaces Metro’s network with a reduced network of just over 70 routes designed to be reliable in the worst weather.
    • Click your area on the Emergency Service Network Route map to view Emergency Service Network Routes
  • Know when the Emergency Service Network is in effect

During a severe storm, Metro will decide each day before the afternoon commute if the emergency network will be in effect the following day.
  • Plan ahead for your commute
