Commuter Van Online Orientation
Welcome! This is the access page for the King County Metro Commuter Van Online Orientation. This orientation is required for new drivers and bookkeepers in the Commuter Van Program managed by Rideshare Operations.
Established in 1979, this award-winning program moves thousands of commuters like you every day. An important part of Puget Sound's public transportation, it provides great benefits for commuters and the region.
Efficient - Commute times are shortened in HOV lane
Economical - Average riders save over $6,000 annually
Environmental - Metro commuter vans eliminate five million pounds of pollution annually
To continue with this orientation, you must be authorized. Has a Rideshare Operations representative notified you that you are eligible to proceed? If not, email vanpool.information@kingcounty.gov for assistance.
Although not required, before you begin, you may wish to review the Commuter Van Program Manual [.PDF 482kb]. This manual can be saved to your computer to keep as a resource.
You must complete the orientation and receive your completion letter to become an approved driver or bookkeeper.
