Shoreline P&R Lot Affected by Construction
February 7, 2011
Beginning Monday, February 7, construction will affect Shoreline Park-and-Ride lot and adjoining roadways for appoximately one year. The City of Shoreline’s Aurora Corridor Project is reconstructing the three miles of Aurora Avenue North (SR 99) through Shoreline. The construction segment between North 185th and North 192nd Streets includes some reconfiguration of the Shoreline P&R lot, plus improvements to business access and transit (BAT) lanes, bus zones and sidewalks on Aurora.
ADA accessible spaces will relocate to the northwest side of the P&R lot near N 192nd Street. Parking spaces in the northeast section of the lot will be removed to accommodate an underground stormwater treatment and storage system that will be covered with a raised plaza. Park-and-ride capacity will be temporarily reduced during construction and fully restored upon completion of the project. Lost parking is to be replaced within the park-and-ride lot and along the west access road. Pedestrian access to bus stops on Aurora will be by the sidewalk along N 192nd rather than through the parking lot.
