New Hours for Lost and Found

The Lost & Found office at King Street Center in Pioneer Square at 201 S Jackson St is open on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.; closed on weekends and holidays.

Lost emergency items

If you believe an emergency item such as a wallet or prescription medication is currently on a bus:

  1. Call Metro at 206-553-3000 and press 0 - (TTY Relay: 711).
  2. Select from the prompts provided. Your call will be answered in the order it is received.
  3. Give the specialist a description of the lost item (such as color, brand name, fabric).
  4. If it is within 30 minutes of the bus departure, a specialist may be able to help you meet the bus.

Lost bike program

  • Call Metro at 206-553-3000 and press 0 - (TTY Relay: 711) after 10:30 a.m. on the following business day
  • Bikes are held for only 10 days.

General information about lost items on Metro Transit buses

To check on a lost item, call Metro at 206-553-3000 and press 0 - (TTY Relay: 711) after 10:30 a.m. on the following business day to allow staff the time needed to sort newly-received items.

Please provide a detailed description with as much information as possible, such as:

  • A description of the lost item (color, brand name, fabric, etc.)
  • Route number of the bus on which the item was lost
  • Date and time the item was lost
  • Where you boarded the bus
  • Where you were seated on the bus

All items are held for 14 days, except bikes, which are held for 10 days due to storage limitations.
