Lost emergency items

If you believe an emergency item such as a wallet or prescription medication is currently on a bus:

  1. Call Metro at 206-553-3000 (see phone hours). TTY users call TTY Relay: 711.
  2. Please wait and a customer service specialist will be happy to assist you.
  3. Give the specialist a detailed description as below about the lost item.
  4. If you discovered your lost item within 30 minutes of bus departure, a specialist may be able to help you meet the bus.

Lost bike program

  • Call 206-553-3000 after 10:30 a.m. on the following business day
  • Bikes are held for only 10 days.

General information about lost items on Metro Transit

To check on a lost item, please call 206-553-3000 after 10:30 a.m. on the following business day to allow staff the time needed to sort newly-received items.

Please provide a detailed description with as much information as possible, such as:

  • A description of the lost item (color, brand name, fabric)
  • Route number of the bus on which the item was lost
  • Date and time the item was lost
  • Where you boarded the bus
  • Where you were seated on the bus

All items are held for 30 days, except bikes are held for 10 days due to storage limitations.
