The Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue metropolitan area ranks 10th among 300+ areas in the nation for percentage of workers who use public transportation.
According to data released by the U.S. Census Bureau on Sept. 22, 8.2 percent of commuters in our region took transit in 2010, compared to only 4.9 percent for all U.S. workers. In King County alone, 10.8 percent of workers chose transit for their daily commutes.
