Reduced UW Service

When Metro operates a "University of Washington (UW) Reductions" schedule, designated trips are canceled and identified in timetables for routes:

Reduced Weekday Service

  • Monday, Dec. 28, Tuesday, Dec. 29 & Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015 (Holiday Week)
  • Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015 (New Year’s Eve)
  • Monday, Jan. 19, 2016 (MLK Day)
  • Monday, Feb. 15, 2016 (Presidents' Day)

On the dates listed above, one of four categories applies:

    (There is no service on these routes when Metro operates a Reduced Weekday schedule)

In the Regional Trip Planner, you can plan trips on holidays and reduced service.When viewing a route schedule, trips marked with "H" do NOT operate during Reduced Weekday Service, and trips marked with "D" operate only UW is in session.

  • Metro-operated Sound Transit express bus routes operate regular weekday service on "Reduced Weekdays".
  • Metro Boeing and school Custom Bus routes may or may not operate depending on their unique schedules. Typically, these routes do not operate on "Reduced Weekdays" as they tend to coincide with school closures. Please check specific schedules.
