  • Sound Transit and other local transit agencies may not adhere to the same holiday schedule as Metro.

Reduced UW Service

When Metro operates a "University of Washington (UW) Reductions" schedule, designated trips are canceled and identified in timetables for routes:

31, 32, 73, 75, 167, 197, 271, 277, 331, 372, 373

Reduced Weekday Service

On the dates listed above, one of four categories applies:

  1. Routes that operate a regular weekday schedule on all weekdays except when a Sunday/Holiday schedule is in effect. These routes have no individual trip cancelations when either a “University of Washington Reductions” (UWR) or a Reduced Weekday” (RW) schedule is in effect:

  3. Routes with designated weekday trips canceled due to a “Reduced Weekday” (RW) schedule:

    (Designated trips are canceled and identified in timetables with an "H" )

  4. Routes with all weekday trips canceled due to a “Reduced Weekday” (RW) schedule:

    201, 237, 304, 308, 316, 330, 355, 930

    (There is no service on these routes when Metro operates a Reduced Weekday schedule)

Holiday Trip Planning

In the Regional Trip Planner, you can plan trips on holidays and reduced service.When viewing a route schedule, trips marked with "H" do NOT operate during Reduced Weekday Service, and trips marked with "D" operate only UW is in session.

  • Metro-operated Sound Transit express bus routes operate regular weekday service on "Reduced Weekdays".
  • Metro Boeing and school Custom Bus routes may or may not operate depending on their unique schedules. Typically, these routes do not operate on "Reduced Weekdays" as they tend to coincide with school closures. Please check specific schedules.
